Recorded Works

Northern Rails is my debut solo album, and easily the most elaborate piece of art I’ve ever worked on. It strikes a captivating blend of folk rock, Americana, and jam-psychedelia, all with a modern singer-songwriter feel. Every sound you hear was produced by yours truly — I even studied a bit of djembe to add some percussion to the tracks! I went into this project with next to no experience in music production, and I managed to record and mix the entire thing on my own. (Huge thanks to Beau Hanson for mastering!)

Alternate Universe is a four song EP featuring the music of Daniela Nagar, an amazing vocalist, songwriter, and my dear friend. We spent two years making beautiful music together in Major Marmalade (f.k.a. Alton Place), and during that time I helped grow Daniela’s melodies and lyrics into fully realized songs. Stick around till the end to hear one of my first 3-part harmony orchestrations!

Playing in the Band captures the fun, energetic live sound of Flying Turtle, with songs ranging from the emotional, balladic Georgia to the silly, punchy Flying Turtle anthem Vampires in Boston. We tracked all 7 tunes in a single day, leaving the door wide open for improvisational magic. I wrote and tracked the lead guitar parts throughout, and also wrote and sang vocals on Tuba Hero. Thanks again to Beau Hanson for mixing and mastering this one!

Where She Beckons / Earthbound
Tuning the Western Wood
In January of 2023, I spent two weeks with one of my best and oldest friends Jeremy Brown arranging and recording two short albums: Where She Beckons and Earthbound. Each song was recorded in one continuous take — no overdubs allowed! Marking my first foray into music production, these records capture the rawness and purity of two budding songwriters blending their voices and styles. Paying homage to our hometown, Westwood, MA, we named this project Tuning the Western Wood.

Recorded during the first months of the pandemic, this record marks the final chapter of my college band Doug Addicts. 2020 was a pivotal time in my musical development, as I was just starting to find my sound as a lead guitarist, the beginnings of which can be heard in the improvised solos of All I See and Falling Backwards Once Again. This album also showcases my beginnings as a songwriter, featuring two of my earliest songs, Bombadil and All I See.
